In the name of Sustainable Development, a United Nations Agenda 21 scheme, the EPA wants more power to regulate businesses, communities and ecosystems. They are basing their power grab on an EPA commissioned study from the National Academies of Science called “Sustainability and the U.S. EPA” which cost taxpayers nearly $700,000. The NAS has been involved with the global warming scam for years and works pro-bono as advisers to the U.N. and the U.S. government. You can download a copy at this link.
The major aim of the study is “how to integrate sustainability as one of the key drivers within the regulatory responsibilities of the EPA”.
According to the report, part of the National Academies of Science’s job is to “provide guidance to the EPA on how to implement its existing statutory authority to contribute more fully to a more sustainable development trajectory for the U.S.” TRANSLATION: How to bypass our elected representatives and shove a United Nation’s global warming agenda down the taxpayers throats.
The study claims that they have found the legal authority for the EPA to foster sustainable development without further Congressional approval in the wording of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA). The law, according to these “experts” is the cornerstone of U.S. environmental policy and declares that the “continuing policy of the federal government is to create and maintain conditions, under which humans and nature can exist in productive harmony, that permit fulfilling the social, economic, and other requirements of present and future generations.”
The report aka the “Green Book” to environmentalists is often compared to the “Red Book” which is a study on using risk management techniquest to guide evaluation of carcinogenic chemicals, which the EPA has used over the last 30 years to gain control over our fossil fuel industry. You can download a copy of the Red Book at this link.
Lisa Jackson says that the “Green Book” is “fundamental to the future of the EPA” and would articulate to “the difference between treating disease and pursing wellness.” (Mama knows best). The National Academies study urges the EPA to “create a new culture among all EPA employees” (indoctrinate) and hire a load of new “experts” to indoctrinate the public and bring the sustainability focus to every corner of the agency and its operations.”
The study concludes that the adoption of the “sustainability framework” will broaden the focus of the EPA to include social and economic with environmental “pillars” and “strengthen it as an organization and leader in the nation’s progress toward a sustainable future.”
For those not familiar with the Agenda 21 - “Agenda 21 proposes an array of actions which are intended to be implemented by EVERY person on earth. . .it calls for specific changes in the activities of ALL people. . .Effective execution of Agenda 21 will require a profound reorientation of ALL humans, unlike anything the world has ever experienced. . .” The Earth Summit Strategy to Save Our Planet, Earthpress, 1993
The object of Agenda 21 is to integrate economic, social and environment policies (sound familiar) to achieve reduced consumption, social equity and the preservation and restoration of biodiversity. Every aspect of life has to be based on its environmental impact involving land use (eminent domain), education, and population control and reduction (abortion and sterilization). It pushes social justice for all to benefit equally from earth’s resources (redistribution of wealth), the elimination of private property, and the elimination of all national sovereignty.
“No matter if the science of global warming is all phony. . .climate change provides the greatest opportunity to bring about justice and equality in the world.” Christine Stewart, former Canadian Minister of the Environment
The government, under the control of the United Nations, would dictate where you live, how you live, what you drive, where you can travel, how many children you could have or even if you could have children, and where you work. They would also decide what you could eat through control of farm and ranches.
“Childbearing should be a punishable crime against humanity.” David Bower, Sierra Club
Provisions of Agenda 21 “sustainable development” is already being implemented through laws and regulatory agencies. If you want to see if your locality is involved, look for agencies such as the Local Government’s for Sustainability (ICLEI) , the American Planning Council, the International City/County Management Group, the U.S. Mayor’s Conference, the National Governor’s Association, the National League of Cities, the National Association of County Administrators, etc.
“Land. . .cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressure and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth, therefore contributes to social injustice.” U.N. Habitat I Conference, ICLEI
“Individual rights will have to take a backseat to the collective.” Harvey Ruvin, ICLI
“We must make this place an insecure and inhospitable place for capitalist and their projects. . .We must reclaim the roads and plowed lands. . .tear down existing dams. . .return to wilderness the millions of tens of millions of acres of presently settled land.” Dave Foreman, Earth First
“Participating in a U.N. advocated planning process would very likely bring out many of the conspiracy-fixated groups. . .would actively work to defeat any elected official who joined the conspiracy. . .so we call our process something else, such as comprehensive planning, growth management, or smart growth.” J. Gary Lawrence, adviser to Bill Clinton’s Council on Sustainable Development
While the EPA is being deceptively low-key on the National Academies of Science study claiming only that they are reviewing the recommendations and have not, as yet, made any decisions on implementation, the American public knows better. The U.N. summit meeting is mentioned in the study as an instance where “sustainability is gaining increasing recognition as a useful framework for addressing otherwise intractable problems”, a “framework that can be applied at any scale of governance, in nearly any situation and anywhere in the world.”
Agenda 21 is nothing but global communism.
