With the promise of Hope and Change, Obama gained favor with almost 66% of 18-29 year old voters in 2008. He promised more jobs for recent college grads and young people – a promise he failed to uphold.
1 out of 2 college grads under age 25 is unemployed or underemployed.
The unemployment rate for the 20-24 age group stands at 13.2%
Overall 54.3% of the 18-14 age group are employed but that is the lowest rate seen since 1948.
But young people and college grads should take heart – Obama does care! He is doing everything humanly possible to make certain that the 100,000 foreign students who will visit the U.S. this summer will have a job.
And that promise to make certain your federally back student loan interest rate remains low – well, you are still being played. He forgot to mention that in his 2013 budget, federally backed student loan interest rates will climb from 3.4% to 6.8% in the summer of 2013. Of course, that’ll be about 8 months after you work your butts off to get him re-elected.
