“The Race Card Blues”

Angela Rye, Executive Director of the Congressional Black Caucus, is playing that old familiar broken record titled, “It’s Because Obama’s Black.”

During  CSPAN’s Q&A yesterday, Rye is quoted as saying, “This is probably the toughest presidential term in my lifetime. I think that a lot of what the president has experienced is because he’s black. You know, whether it’s questioning his intellect or whether or not he’s Ivy League. It’s always either he’s not educated enough or he’s too educated; or he’s too black or he’s not black enough; he’s too Christian or not Christian enough. There are all these things where he has to walk this very fine line to even be successful.”

She continued her whining in reference to the use of the word “cool” in an attack ad launched by Karl Rove’s Crossroads GPS superPac.

“There’s an ad, talking about [how] the president is too cool, [asking] is he too cool? And there’s this music that reminds me of, you know, some of the blaxploitation films from the 70s playing in the background, him with his sunglasses. And to me it was just very racially-charged. They weren’t asking if Bush was too cool, but, yet, people say that that’s the number one person they’d love to have a beer with. So, if that’s not cool I don’t know what is”.  Adding that even the term “cool” could in some ways be deemed racial.

As the scratchy old race record nears it’s end, Rye said she didn’t know if black enthusiasm could be lower for Obama now than in 2008. But stated, “I think that there is a lot of work that needs to be done to educate people on the issues with voting rights this time. A lot of our members feel that the voting rights bills that have been passed on voter ID . . . is going to create a barrier whether there’s an enthusiasm gap or not. You have a situation where it’s a modern-day poll tax.”

Everyone PLEASE get out your hankies or a box of tissues and lets all sing “The Race Card Blues”!

  • On the day I was born
  • My aunt in Keyna was around
  • She gazed at the wonder
  • Of the joy she had found
  • Conservatives in America Shouted
  • Leave that one at home
  • They accused me of being
  • Black to the Bone
  • B B B Black
  • B B B Black
  • B B B Black
  • Black to the bone

  • I just want be to king
  • Want everyone to step aside
  • I want to destroy America
  • Conservatives aren’t satisified
  • Thay want their Freedoms
  • Their God and Liberty
  • And because I’m Black
  • They want to blame me
  • B B B Black
  • B B B Black
  • B B B Black
  • Black to the bone

  • Took the White House after Bush
  • Stole it from McCain
  • But The Tea Party won’t let me
  • Let me do my thing
  • They want to expose me
  • Won’t leave me alone
  • But it’s all Bush’s fault
  • Cause he’s white to the bone
  • W W W White
  • White to the bone

Rye and the rest of the Liberals won’t admitt there is nothing racist about wanting Obama (Obeyme) out-of-office. It has nothing to do with the color of his skin. It’s his policies.

Obeyme wants to dismantle our Country and our Constitution. He wants to play God and tell everyone what they can and cannot do, what they can and cannot eat, how much money they can or cannot earn, what medical treatments they can or cannot have, and the list goes on for miles.

The only “hope” Obeyme has of winning a second term is if he can convince the people to feel sorry for him because he’s half black.

“We The People” are not willing to lose our freedoms. We are standing up for our rights as free citizens. Obama had his “Hope”, now “We The People” want “Change”.
