Pro-God Rally vs The Democratic Anti-God Platform

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”  2 Chronicles 7:14

By now I guess you’ve heard of the disastrous Democratic sanctioned Islamic prayer meeting last Friday in Charlotte.  Everyone  expected about 1,000 Muslims to show up but only around 200 were there.  Is it possible that even Muslims don’t want to be associated with the DNC?

And, by now I assume you  have also  heard that the  Democratic Party has  turned their back on God by removing His name from their platform.  That certainly shouldn’t have come as a  surprise to anyone.

While the Democrats may have thrown God under the bus,  His presence was welcomed at the  Charlotte 714 Rally with 9,000 of His children from various churches and denominations who came together to pray in the spirit of 2 Chronicles 7:14  to ask for God’s forgiveness and ask for blessings on America.   David Benham, the organizer of 714 Rally said that “God is stirring on this nation and he is raising a mighty army unto himself.  We are coming out of the Churches onto the front lines of this battle.”

A few weeks before the DNC, the churches involved made an effort to “adopt” a delegation to the DNC, offering to send welcome baskets with information about their churches and the city but the Democrats denied permission.  According to David Benham,  “The mayor’s office texted me and said ‘We regret to inform but we ask that you not send those letters, and not engage in ‘Adopt A Delegation,’ because your views on women are contrary to the convention.”

Isn’t it ironic that the Democrats would sanction and  welcome  an Islamic prayer meeting in Charlotte the Friday before the start of their convention but spurn Christians?

The DNC platform officially opposes federal and state Constitutional Amendments and the Defense of Marriage Act and for that matter Christians who oppose their radical same-sex marriage agenda.  They are also supporting abortion rights in all circumstances and the use of taxpayer money to support Murder, Inc  [Planned Parenthood].

Rev. William Owens, president of the Coalition of African-American Pastors said “By taking this grave and unnecessary step of endorsing gay marriage in the party platform, Obama and the Democratic party are once again putting black Christians at the back of the bus.  Every other constituent of  Obama, every other key part of the party base  –  gays, latinos, women – gets a hearing except black voters whose voices and values are ignored.  This is more than a shame, it’s an outrage.  We are here to warn the Democrats: do not leave out black Christians, do not take our votes for granted.”

Pastor Patrick Wooden spoke out against the Democrats pro same-sex marriage agenda.

Already the liberal attack dogs are out in force.   Right Wing Watch, a pro-liberal Democratic front group funded by George Soros said that the Coalition of African-American Pastors isn’t as much of a real coalition as it is a right-wing-front group. . .”The virulently anti-gay pastor [Owens] compared his political activism to that of Martin Luther King, Jr. . . .”    Once you get past the virulently anti-Christian remarks, you can read the interview between William Owens, David Barton and Rick Green at this link.

What could be more embarrassing for Democrats, omitting God from their platform or trying to reinsert His name.

Wednesday, after taking so much heat for omitting God from their platform, Obama stepped in and insisted that they reinsert God in the platform.    I would like to think that Obama had a change of heart but considering the anti-God platform and his attacks on Christianity throughout his term,   it is obvious that this was done to quiet the peasants.  Too many black pastors were speaking out and he could take a chance on offending any more voters.

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villeraigosa took to the platform and asked for a vote from the delegates.  Nos and Boos filled the room, not once but three times.  Finally, after the third vote where the NOs were much louder than the ayes, Villeraigosa declared the proposal passed with a 2/3’s vote upon which the Boos got even louder.   You can watch the video at this link.

“Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.  But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.”  Matthew 10:32-33
