Providing a roadmap with names and address, The Journal News apparently thought it would be amusing if they published a listing of gun owners in the New York surrounding counties of Putnam, Westcherster and Rockland. But what was amusing to the Journal at that time, is not so amusing now. They’re finding out what it’s like to have the shoe on the other foot.
Turning the table on Journal News, For What It’s Worth (FWIW) has published Editor Cyndee Royal and the rest of the staff’s info online. But just to keep it all fair, Newrochelletalk, Robert Cox has created an interactive map to equal the one that Journal News pubished.
From the website:
The map indicates the addresses of all Journal News Employees in the New York Tri-State area. Each dot represents an individual Journal News employee — a reporter, editor or staffer. The data does not include freelancers — reporters or photographers — which can be hired without being an employee. Being included in this map does not mean the individual at a specific location is a responsible reporter or editor, just that they are a reporter or editor.
Data for all categories is included, but certain information is not available on an individual basis.
To create the map, Talk of the Sound submitted Google searches for the names and addresses of all Journal News employees in the New York Tri-State area. By state law, the information is public record.
Readers are still putting together records and could not immediately provide some data. The map will be updated when that data is released. Please click here to view the map.
Needless to say Royle is not pleased. Seems her “to Hell with you” attitude has turned out to be Hell for her. Her private Facebook page is down, her Twitter account is protected, and her work Facebook account is over-run by commenters chastising her.
