9/11 National Day Of Prayer

America is in rapid departure from God,

in a deep spiral of moral and spiritual descent.  As believers, this fact is starkly clear.  The Bible declares that such things lead to national judgment.  The biblical warning signs of national judgment that appeared in the last days of ancient Israel are now reappearing on American soil (The Harbinger, Jonathan Cahn). The Bible declares that the prayers and repentance of God’s people can help facilitate, repentance, revival, healing, and restoration.

2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

We’ve got our instructions. God is waiting on us to act – His people. He’s not waiting on the whole world to act. He’s not waiting on a majority of Americans to act. He’s waiting on His children.

Will we follow His command and accept His promise to forgive our sin and heal our land?

9/11, more than any other day, was a national wake up call 9/11 epitomized our dependence on God and our helplessness without Him 9/11 caused multitudes to pray and to gather in Houses of Worship across the land Since 9/11, America has not grown closer to God, but much farther away.

The purpose of this National Day of Prayer and Repentance is to confess our national sins, the sins of America
:

For the killing of millions of the unborn.  For sexual immorality, carnality, materialism. For increasingly driving God out of our national life. For increasingly rejecting His ways.  For an increasingly Godless culture. For pride and self-reliance without God

To confess our sins as God’s people:

For complacency. For compromise with the world. For compromise with His word. For worldliness and sin. For failing to be the lights we were called to be. For failing to boldly proclaim the Gospel of salvation and the truth of His word.

To pray for –first and overall for God’s mercy on America

That this nation return to its foundation. That America return to God For repentance on every level and in every way. For revival for the church as a whole, and individually for each of God’s people. Whatever it takes for that to happen.

To pray for – second and specifically

The government, the leadership, the executive, legislative and judicial branches, the federal and sate governments, the military.  The cities, the coasts, the heartland families and marriages. The younger generation. All those outside the kingdom – for salvation. For churches and pastors. For unity in God, for purity in the word, and cleansing from sin, public and secret; for uncompromised boldness to stand, for the anointing of the Spirit, to light up and overcome the darkness.

To pray overall and ultimately that God’s will be done concerning America!
