W.H. Iranian Deal Gets A D-Minus With Grade Inflation

ob01By now we’ve all been subjected to the John Kerry/Obama smirk as they gloat over a  deal with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to further Obama’s goal to “check” America’s world power status.  And what a deal – we curb sanctions and they promise to maybe curb their quest for nuclear arms.  Could it get any better?

Neither Kerry nor Obama are willing to divulge that a deal with Rouhani isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.  The man in charge is Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei who earlier this week declared Jews “unhuman,” and Israel “the rabid dog of the region.”  Khamenei is determined that Israel “is doomed to collapse” and he has every intention of helping that along.

Melanie Phillips, one of Europe’s most outspoken columnists and the winner of the prestigious Orwell Prize for journalism, writes that it’s not just the Jews who are in Iran’s sights –   They  also hate the west.  That’s why they want nuclear weapons.  That’s why its nuclear program poses a mortal threat not just to Israel but to Britain, America and Europe.  That’s why Iran is the principal terrorist regime in the world and why it has murdered countless westerners.  That’s why Britain, America and Europe said it was “unthinkable” that Iran should be allowed to develop nuclear weapons.

The most stunning aspect of the Iranian war against the west is the fact that since 1979 the west has denied that there is a war.   When its civilians were murdered in terrorist atrocities with Iran’s fingerprints all over them, when its soldiers were blown up in Iraq by Iranian roadside bombs, when British Royal Navy personnel were kidnapped at gunpoint by Iranian forces on the high seas and held hostage for 13 days, the west turned the other way and refused to retaliate.

Obama and his  anti-American Secretary of State, along with the Britain’s Foreign Office, not to mention the apology for a statement that is Baroness Ashton, the EU’s Foreign Affairs High Represenative, cut a deal while knowing that Iran has made crystal clear that it will never yield on the central demand to halt its progress toward nuclear weapons.

Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz called the Obama administration “naive” having made a ‘cataclysmic error of gigantic proportions.’ “The deal makes it more likely Iran will develop a nuclear bomb, likely creating the need for a future military strike by Israel or the U.S.  This is first-year negotiating theory, and this administration gets a D-minus with grade inflation.  You don’t let up on sanctions that are working.”

Democrat Senator Schumer of New York agrees.  “It was sanctions, not the goodness of the hearts of Iranian leaders that brought them to the table.”  Schumer says this deal  makes it more likely Democrats and Republicans will work together to pass additional sanctions in December.”

As for Israel, Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon said: “We were not part of the negotiations. We have not signed this  agreement. And we will do whatever is necessary to protect Israel.  We cannot allow ourselves to make a mistake. If it is a bad  agreement and Iran is playing with the world, maybe the Western superpowers can  afford to make such a mistake. It is not the case for Israel.  We are not in a position of making a mistake or to gamble with our future. That  is why I am saying it very clear. All options are still on the table. And if we  see that Iran continues with the effort to build a nuclear bomb, we will do  whatever is necessary to protect ourselves.”

Kerry, with blessings from the Obama/Jarrett White House,  cut a deal that does nothing to stop Iran’s nuclear agenda, but did increased the possibility of a nuclear arms race in the in the Middle East, while throwing  a valued ally under the bus, proving once again that the enemies of the civilized world are not only found in Tehran.  They are also found in London, Brussels and Washington, D.C.
