UN Wants To Change Catholic Religion

Vatican Pope ChristmasA UN Convention on the Rights of the Child committee has told the Catholic Church to get over itself and change its opposition to adolescents having sex while also embracing  abortion and homosexual marriage.

This  Treaty that destroys parental rights and turns the kids over to the world to raise,  was actually ratified by the Vatican in 1990, along with pretty much every socialist, terrorist country in the world except  the U.S. and Somalia.

The Committee that oversees implementation of the treaty  specifically told the Catholic Church “to review its position on abortion which places obvious risks on the life and health of pregnant girls and to amend Canon 1398 relating to abortion with a view to identifying circumstances under which access to abortion services can be permitted.”

The Committee lamented “the negative consequences of the Holy See’s position and practices of denying access to contraception, as well as to sexual and reproductive health and information.” They directed  the Church “to access the serious implications of its position on adolescents’ enjoyment of highest attainable standard of health and overcome all the barriers and taboos surrounding adolescent sexuality…”   Of course that would include homosexuality and possibly pedophilia practiced by some of the countries of the Committee experts who oversee implementation.

The Church was also chastised for not recognizing homosexual marriage and charged with contributing to violence against homosexuals, by teaching the Word of God.

Archbishop Silvano Tomasi, the Holy See Nuncio to the UN in Geneva, in response to the U.N. report said that the Church cannot give up certain teachings that are part of their deep convictions nor any expression of freedom of religion to comply.  He also said that asking the Church to support the murder of innocent babies was a contradiction with the principles of life that the convention itself claims to uphold.

For those not familiar with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, its effect would be binding on American courts, families and Congress and would override our Constitution.

The UNCRC is an international treaty focused on promoting the rights of children and seeking to give children priority in the implementation of governmental measures. The Convention claims to offer a road map that will guide government officials in the improvement of laws and policies, by defining which rights the government should give to children.  But what it actually does is place the general welfare of our children into the hands of the federal government and the United Nations.
