Happy Independence Day

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights; that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

On July 4th, 1776, America boldly proclaimed to the entire world that we would no longer consider ourselves subjects of the British Empire.

Each year, what we celebrate for one day, on July 4th, was in truth a 20 year struggle for independence. Our Declaration of Independence stands today as one of the most profound declarations ever written.  Declaration of Independence

For most Americans, these are the most powerful words in American history. Although today,many take those words for granted, or consider it words outdated.

Unalienable rights, was mocked and ridiculed by the entire world. America was and is still hated for it in many places, Sadly some of our own citizens and elected politicians hate and are trying to destroy our freedoms today. 

This one line in our Declaration of Independence paved the way for every single law on the books today. It holds the basis for our Separation of Powers and all three branches of government, and is the foundation of the civil rights movement.

Americans fought hard, and far too many died, to gain our freedoms as God our Father intended. We should not be so willing to think that today our leaders have our best interest at heart. For it is they who seek to take these freedoms from us. 

Freedom is always worth fighting for.

As we gather to celebration this year, let us remember our own commitment to liberty and freedom.

May our Father in Heaven open your eyes to the truth of our current administration’s intentions.
