America’s environmental agenda is set by the uber-rich using their personal fortunes to establish foundations that work hand-in-glove with the Obama administration’s agenda to destroy America’s fossil fuel industry.
The Environmental Grantmakers Association (EGA) founded in 1985 is the cash cartel of the uber-rich, according to 96 page, “The Chain of Environmental Command: How a Club of Billionaires and Their Foundations Control the Environmental Movement and Obama’s EPA,” complied by the staff of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee under the direction of Senator David Vitter of Louisiana, the committee’s ranking minority member.
Made up of over 200 ultra-wealthy foundations, most of EGA’s members have perfected the art of assembling and funding fake grassroots movements, and crafting and promoting propaganda disguised as science and news to scare the public into accepting their phony global warming scare, all to further line their pockets at taxpayer expense.
The Energy Foundation is a quintessential example of a pass-through clearing house for left-wing elites to pass money to activists without their names being attached to the funding. One of its major funders is Sea Change which has gone to great lengths to hide the source of its money. There is an incredible seedbed of Sea Change front groups funded by Bill Gates, eBay’s Omidyar Network Fund, David Rockefeller, the Walmart Foundation, etc. One of Sea Change’s front groups is the Global Foundation Sea Change, an international tentacle into the White House.
Vitter’s team uncovered a June 2009 deal in which the Rockefeller Family Fund offered EPA administrator, Lisa Jackson, to pay for a plant inside the President’s Council on Environmental Quality to “stake the EPA’s claim there,” and then slip the shill into a prearranged EPA job, giving the agency a White House inside staffer and tightening the Rockefeller power grip over the EPA. This Rockefeller shill was Shalini Vajjhla who agreed to leave her minor position at Resources for the Future for a two month stint as “deputy associate director for energy and climate” and after her short stint, the EPA slipped her in as deputy assistant administrator of the Office of International & Tribal Affairs where she remained until her 2011 appointment as EPA’s special representative leading a presidential U.S./Brazil initiative.
Numerous 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) nonprofits that publicly advertise themselves as grassroots organizations are in fact nothing more than associate groups that transfer money from EGA to other left wing environmental groups.
Virginia Organizing, a Charlottesville, Virginia group, that claims to be a statewide grassroots organization, receives most of its funding from far-left activist foundations all over the country like the Tides Foundation, the Marisla Foundation, the Rockefeller Fund, etc. and disburse those funds well outside the State of Virginia. Their Executive Director is Joe Szakos, a community organizer with connections to Obama.
Another Virginia advocacy group, EHN also located in Charlottesville, is lavished with money from the EGA. Promoting themselves as a small community based organization, EHN is led by power brokers in the far-left environmental community such as Pete Myers who previously served as director at the Alton Jones Foundation, and is a trustee for Jennifer Altman Foundation, a member of EGA. Myers also served as board chair of the Heinz III Center for Science, Economics, and the Environment.
Bold Nebraska is another faux grassroots organization that is a shield for wealthy non-Nebraskan interests that seek to advance Obama’s political agenda without drawing attention to the fact they are outsiders with little connection to the state.
In New York and Colorado, a pseudo grassroots effort to attack hydraulic fracturing has germinated massive amounts of money from the New York based Park Foundation, as well as the California based Schmidt Family Foundation and the Tides Foundation.
The New York based Sustainable Markets Foundation with zero public presence, exists only on paper to receive funds from wealthy donors and far-left foundations. The Natural Resources Defense Council, the Sierra Club, Environmental Defense Fund, the League of Conservation Voters, the Center for Biological Diversity, the National Wildlife Federation, World Wildlife Fund and numerous other activist organizations serve as the face of the environmental movement and provide cover for the uber-wealthy to use their money to promote leftist ideas.
Klein Ltd, a foreign corporation, has risen to prominence in the far-left environmental community, doling out tens of millions to favored “charities” via Sea Change Foundation. None of this foreign funding is disclosed to the public.
The revolving door of environmental activists, from private foundations and public “charities” to Obama’s EPA include Bob Perciasepe, Deputy Administrator, a former CEO of the National Audubon Society, who, like Lisa Jackson, used his personal email to communicate with far-left environmentalists, in violation of EPA policy.
You can add to the list Nancy Stoner, Acting Administrator for the Office of Water, Judith Enck, Region 2 Administrator at the EPA, Francesca Grifo, Scientific Integrity Official, Matthew Tejada, Director of the Office of Environmental Justice, Bob Sussman, Senior Policy Counsel under Lisa Jackson, Jared Blumenfeld, Region 9 Administrator, Joseph Goffman, Associate Assistant Administrator and Senior Council for the Office of Air and Radiation, to name only a few.
I highly recommend that you read the report in full so that the next time someone tells you the earth is warming, the oceans are rising, polar bears are in decline, etc. you’ll know the truth. This has never been about global warming. It is a scam perpetrated by the left to separate hard working Americans from their money, and nothing more.
