The Tip of The Iceberg

01Environmentalism is one of the greatest scams of the modern era. The earth is not in peril, only truth and common sense are.

The left’s emphasis on renewable energy has been a huge expensive failure. Claims of disappearing forests are bogus, the earth quit warming 18 years ago, sea levels are not rising, and demands for reduction of carbon dioxide will only harm all vegetation on the earth. The earth needs CO2 in the same way you and all other living creatures needs oxygen.

The Obama administration spends $2.5 billion each year on research that focuses on carbon dioxide, ignores powerful natural forces that have always driven climate change, and generates numerous reports and press releases warning of record high temperatures, melting icecaps, rising seas, stronger storms, more droughts and other “unprecedented” crises. These erroneous and deceitful claims are consistently contradicted by actual climate and weather records, much like Michael Mann’s latest claim that the Gulf Stream is slowing, which is in direct contradiction of 20 years of actual measurements that show no change.

Renewable energy research and grants, loans, subsidies, and mandates drive projects to replace hydrocarbons that are still abundant and still 82% of all US energy consumed. Many recipients of Obama’s green grants went bankrupt leaving taxpayers holding the bag. Wind turbines butcher millions of birds and bats annually as large solar farms actually fry birds in flight and both are exempt from the Endangered Species Act fines and penalties.

Tesla Motors got $256 million to make electric cars that only the wealth elite could afford. Corn ethanol interests spent $158 million lobbying for more money while contributing $6 million to campaigns of elected officials responsible for subsidies for a fuel that reduces mileage, damages engines, emits more carbon dioxide than gasoline, and require enormous amounts of land, water and fertilizer better spent on growing food.

The White House’s war on coal has already claimed thousands of jobs, raised electricity costs for millions and adversely affected living standards, health and welfare for millions of families. Now, Obama is targeting oil and gas drilling and fracking to further destroy America’s future.

Obama is unleashing a host of new mandates and standards based on arbitrary “social cost of carbon” calculations that assume fossil fuel use imposes numerous climate costs without beneficial economic or societal gains. These rules will send consumer costs skyrocketing while channeling billions of taxpayer dollars to retailers, installers, bank, and overseas manufacturers.

Water heaters, that now cost anywhere from $675 to $1,500 will soon cost $1,200 to $2,450, thanks to requirements for newfangled exhaust fans, vent pipes and condensate removal systems. Trucks with more fuel efficiency and less power will nearly double in price. Microwaves, cell phones, vacuum cleaners, hair dryers, toasters, coffee pots, lawn mowers, photocopiers, televisions, refrigerators, washing machines and dryers and almost everything else will cost far more. Poor and middle class families will get clobbered to prevent perhaps 5% of the US’s 15% of all CO2 emissions toward 0.04% of atmospheric CO2, and maybe 0.00001 degree of warming.

The U.N.’s new climate treaty will limit fossil fuel use by developed countries while redistributing hundreds of billions to poor countries that claim they have been harmed by emissions and warming due to rich country hydrocarbon use.   IPCC officials openly brag that this new climate policy has almost nothing to do with protecting the environment and everything to do with transforming the global economy and redistributing its wealth.

Radical environmentalist, the far-left and Democrats are out to destroy studies, funding, reputations and the careers of anyone who dares challenge climate disaster tautologies. Obama has even sic’d FEMA on states that refuse to cower before the EPA, threatening to withhold disaster funds.

Obama’s commitment, to making the climate scam industry so enormous that no one will be able to tear it down, reflects a socialist conviction that the government and wealthy elite have a right to control our lives, the type and amount of energy we consume, our livelihoods and living standards with no accountability for the damage they inflict on this country.

“It is the greatest deception in history and the extent of the damage has yet to be exposed and measured.   Science works by creating theories based on assumption, than other scientists, performing their skeptical role, test them. The structure and mandate of the IPCC was in direct contradiction of this scientific method. They set out to prove the theory rather than disprove it.” Climatologist Tim Ball, “The Deliberate Corruption of Climate Science”
