Donald Trump & Jim Webb Rumors

Donald Trump is the current GOP frontrunner, likely the single most outspoken and politically incorrect of all those seeking the White House in 2016.

Jim Webb is that most rare of things these days – a conservative Democrat and until recently, a candidate for President of the United States. 

Now both men appear to share a common goal that has united them – defeating Hillary Clinton and the respective machines from both their political parties.

Mr. Webb, a Virginian with familial ties to the politically tumultuous region of Northern Ireland known as Ulster most recently decried the establishment forces that currently exert undue influence upon his Democrat Party. He continues to accuse party bosses of protecting the Hillary Clinton campaign even as he repeats his demand that Mrs. Clinton be held accountable for her part in what is widely known as the Benghazi Massacre of 2012. He did so again just this week:

Just two months earlier, Donald Trump declared that Senator Webb would, “…be wonderful as an independent.”
It is a view apparently shared by most of Webb’s supporters who though few in number within the Democrat Party, don’t lack for loyalty or enthusiasm for the decorated war veteran.
 
And like Trump, those supporters see the Democrat Party as a once-proud entity that in the era of Barack Obama, has devolved into a caricature of its former self that is providing less leadership and far more business as usual politicking that has decimated both the present and future of America. Both men also share a certainty that a Hillary Clinton presidency would be yet more of the same at a time when the United States demands something very-very different than the last eight years.
 
Today Drudge went live with a front page feature outlining a potential Jim Webb third party run. D.C. Whispers sources indicate that outcome is far less likely than what appears to be a currently tepid but warming alliance between Mr. Trump and Mr. Webb. (Webb implored Trump this past summer to stop throwing “cultural bombs” against certain minority groups in America, but more recently has said very little against the current GOP frontrunner.) What form such an alliance might ultimately take is unknown at this time, but Webb’s own political history shows him to be a man willing to work with those he deems strong leaders regardless of political affiliation. He served for several years with the Reagan administration.
 
What is more clear is Jim Webb’s deep-rooted distrust and dislike of Hillary Clinton and the political machine protecting her and it appears the former Delta Company Platoon Commander is preparing to go to war one last time.
