It is the Veteran, not the preacher, who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the Veteran, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the Veteran, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the Veteran, not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is the Veteran, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the Veteran, not the politician, who has given us the right to vote.
It is the Veteran, who salutes the Flag,
It is the Veteran, who serves under the Flag,
To be buried by the flag,
So the protester can burn the flag.
On May 21, 2016, this Armed Forces Day, let us honor all Americans in uniform who served their country in times of war and peace. Those who are honored on this day include people who serve the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, National Guard and Reserve units. The goal of this special day’s events includes appreciating the liberty of our nation along with developing patriotism. In addition to supporting our current military troops stationed within the United States and abroad, we also honor those who have died serving our country in any capacity.
