Jewish Socialist And Anti-Semitics

Noam Chomsky, a far left wing professor of linguistics at MIT believes that the Christian right only supports Israel because they are anti-Semitic and want to see Jews exterminated by Armageddon. “They are looking forward to Armageddon” he said.   “If you have Armageddon, then the souls that are saved rise to heaven.  These pro-Israel Christian right are the most anti-Semitic people in the world.  They want all the Jews to be exterminated, except for 144,000 who are somehow converted. I think about a third of the population. . .expect the second coming in their lifetime.”   Chomsky went on to say that Christians were blind to the plight of the poor Palestinians, that Israel was out to exterminate the Palestinians and ended by bashing  the U.S.  You can watch the video here.

I guess you just have to overlook the ignorance of an elderly Jewish socialist who understands  little, if anything, about the  Bible or Christianity.  Even Osama bin Laden knew the true nature of Noam Chomsky.  In a  2007 audio tape in which bin Laden blamed the West for climate change, he praised the political analysis of Noam Chomsky as “correct when he compared the US policies to those of the Mafia….”

When Rabbis for Obama was organized in 2008, they announced that he possessed a “long standing, stalwart support for Israel” and that “Senator Obama is in the best position to restore faith in America as a leader in the fight against serious threats to Israel”.     What the group didn’t mention is that, like Obama, they couldn’t care less for the security of Israel.

About half of  this group of Rabbis  sent the ‘Brit Tzedek v’Shalom’ letter to President Bush urging him to keep an open mind on Hamas and then issued a second letter to ‘whoever wins the Presidential election’ that repeatedly condemned Israel for fighting terrorism.   The original letter was the brainchild of the Jewish Alliance for Justice and Peace, an extremist left wing group, which had condemned Israeli action against Hamas, defended the terrorist solidarity group and co-ordinated pro-terrorist propaganda.  They are funded by Noam Chomsky’s group – Resist, Inc., the Ford Foundation, and George Soros.

Jewish Voice for Peace is one of the largest and most influential left-wing anti-Zionist groups in the U.S.  Like other anti-Zionist groups, JVP uses its Jewish identity to shield the anti-Israel movement from allegations of anti-Semitism. They note on their website that the were “inspired by Jewish tradition” and that their Jewish nature gives it a “particular legitimacy in voicing an alternative view of American and Israeli actions and policies”.   They call for boycott, divestment and sanctions against Israel as well as the complete economic, academic and cultural boycott of Israel as a “nonviolent response to the daily violence of the Israeli occupation.”  During Israel’s 60th anniversary celebration JVP compared the Palestinian “Nakba” to the Holocaust – “What the Holocaust is to the Jews, the Nakba is to the Palestinians.”

J Street is the preeminent Jewish force committed to pushing Israel back to the 1949 armistice lines.  They blame Israel for the breakdown in negotiations between Jerusalem and the Palestinian Authority.  While claiming to support Israel’s right to self-defense, they have opposed every measure Israel has taken to defend its citizens –  they oppose the security barrier and military action to stop Hamas bombardments.  They have partnered with the anti-Zionist U.S. Council of Churches to provide cover for the UN’s “Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People.”

George Soros helped finance J Street’s founding and during 2008-2010 he and his two children contributed $750,000 to their coffers.  In addition, the Federal Election Commission reported that J Street had received tens of thousands of dollars from dozens of Arab and Muslim Associations as well as many from individuals connected to Palestinian and pro-Iranian advocacy groups.   That might explain why they backed the U.N.  Resolution that condemned Israel’s ongoing settlement activity and urged Obama not to veto it.

J Street has a PAC that, during the 2008 elections, endorsed 41 congressional democratic candidates and contributed $578,812 to their campaign.

In addition to deceptive far left organizations posing as pro-Israel, Jews, of course,  have their own Scripture Lawyers, Higher Critics and fake Rabbis, much like Christianity.

Take Rabbi Arthur Waskow,  a left-wing activist and member of a non-theistic movement of Jewish Renewal.  Waskow’s idea of Judaism exists only as a metaphor for left of center ideology.  To the movement, the Bible is only relevant to the extent that it can be used as a mythological connection to civil rights, nuclear war or global warming.  Waskow, who did not receive his ordination at a seminary, got his bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins and a PhD in American history from the university of Wisconsin which gives him the right to call himself a doctor – no more.  He claims to have received his Smicha from a Rabbinical Court comprised of an unnamed Hasidic rabbi, a Conservative rabbi, a Reform rabbi, and a feminist theologian (how did a theologian get in a Rabbinical Court?).  People who don’t know the difference respect his Halachic rulings even though he doesn’t have the training or authority to issue them.   In the past, Waskow offered support for the so-called ‘Freedom Flotilla as  a humanitarian effort for Palestinians suffering an Israeli blockade,  and accused Congressman Peter King of furthering Islamophobia.  He also claims that  CAIR is not associated with terrorists even though they are a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood, and that the Torah, which apparently he has never read, doesn’t condemn homosexuality.

Michael Lerner, a former 1960’s Berkeley radical and founder of Tikkun magazine, whose religious philosophy is  a mixture of Old Testament teachings, medieval cabala mysticism and sixties-style campus Marxism, identifies himself as a duly ordained rabbi but, like Waskow he was given a private rabbinic ordination by Jewish Renewal rabbis whose ordinations are recognized only by those within the Jewish Renewal community.   The Jewish Renewal movement is an endeavor to “reinvigorate modern Judaism with mystical, Hasidic, music and meditative practices from traditional and nontraditional Jewish and other sources and incorporate  feminism, environmentalism, social justice and pacifism.

Professor Steven Plaut at the University of Haifa wrote in 2002 that while Lerner insists that all he wants is peace and justice in the Middle East, his “prescription of achieving such is essentially the same as Yasser Arafat’s. He demands that Israel return to its 1949 borders and forgo all forms of self-defense. . .The only permissible response by Israelis to being butchered by Palestinian terrorists is to offer them endless appeasements and make sure that Israeli soldiers refuse to serve their country.  Lerner has never seen an act of Arab terrorism that he does not rationalize, nor an act of Jewish self-defense he is willing to justify Lerner has organized support for and raised money for Israeli Marxists and fellow travelers organizing mutiny, insubordination and refusal to serve within the Israeli military, and has regularly granted them space in his magazine.”

Lerner’s magazine frequently prints claims that European Jews landed in the Mideast to steal the land of the Palestinians and raises money to rebuild demolished Palestinian homes.  He failes to mention that these homes were demolished by the Israeli Defense Force because they were terrorist hideouts.  He also blames us  “for terrorists attacks against the “evil” American empire who is destroying the life support system of the planet and transferring the wealth of the world into our own pockets.”

In 2002 Lerner founded the Tikkun Community co-chaired by Marxist professor Cornel West as an international interfaith organization dedicated to peace, justice, nonviolence, generosity, caring, love and compassion.  Lerner and West care so deeply about caring, love and compassion, that they took out a full page ad in the  far left New York Times attacking the “Jewish State’s oppressive occupation of the territories” which featured  a cartoon drawing of a hook-nosed, disreputable-looking Jew.  Israel was described as a Pharaoh while Israeli troops were likened to Nazis blindly “following orders in a brutal occupation” that violated international law and human rights.

Lerner is currently the spiritual (?) leader of Beyt Tikkun synagogue in Berkeley and a member of the Board of Rabbis of Northern California.

The list of far left tilting phony rabbis and phony pro-Israeli groups would fill a book.

The next time you read, hear or see ‘Jews’ protesting for Palestine and against Israel, check them out.  Anyone can call themselves a Jew  and claim to be pro-Israel, just like anyone can call themselves a Christian and claim to believe in God,  but it doesn’t make it so!
