How Will The Beast Unite The Entire World To Follow Him?

follow-the-beast.jpgHe will unite all the warring factions. He will unite all the races. He will unite all the political parties. He will unite most all the nations to follow him by giving him their power. He will unite all the liberals and conservatives. He will unite the learned and the uneducated. How will he do it? How will the Beast unite the entire world to follow him? To not only give him their allegiance but to worship him. Of course, not everyone will. The few exceptions will be those who have had their names already written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

Before I tell you what it is (please don’t skip ahead), let’s look at what won’t work. The things that will not unite everyone together as one. It won’t be Facebook or any other social media platform. In fact, the opposite is happening by throwing even more ridiculous and hateful opinions into the hopper. If anything, it’s gone a long way to divide the world into two major factions along with many other smaller factions drifting from one opinion to another.

As much as I would love to say Christianity will unite everyone together. I am afraid we have seen just the opposite. Over the years we have seen the spawning of new denominations and non-denominations each embracing their own favorite doctrine. We have become a world where everyone’s opinion is valid even if it is based on faulty interpretation of Sacred Scripture. Instead of the Church being the custodian of sound doctrine it too has followed the way of the world in allowing everyone to preach and teach what they feel instead of what Scripture says. Allowing everyone to freely interpret the text without putting it in its scriptural and historical context has led many astray.

To not understand the original languages but believing many of the modern translations has cast many adrift into a sea of confusion. The unifying factor of the Church seen as of late has witnessed the great escape back into the world with many doing their own thing. Drifting from one opinion to another, never coming to the truth and unprepared for the things to come. Unfortunately, the Church will not unite the entire world together.

We can’t, at least at this juncture, point our finger at one political figure that would unite everyone together. Again, we have seen just the opposite. Politics driving a deeper wedge between the people with some casting their loving support behind the current administration while others are ready to run him out of town on a rail once he’s been tarred and feathered. Even the good works of diminishing unemployment, rising stock market, less taxes, and improved infrastructure will not unite everyone together. So, what is it?

Before I give you the answer in God’s Word, let me say that we live in a world of unbelief of the one true God. They have turned away from God taking to themselves a mixed bag of beliefs from mythology to a mixture of spiritualism and new age thinking. In each of these is found the power of the paranoia, the belief that things can get a lot better with a miracle. That man somehow can chart his own destiny through the power of the supernatural and the untapped power of the miracle seen so clearly in the superheroes and the many gods of mythology. Well, all this will not save the world and it will not unite it as one. On the other hand, these people will be the first in line to be seduced to the power of the dark side.

So, let’s look at God’s Word to see this unifying power. The power that will seduce the entire world to the dark side. To turn them into minions of the devil and his legion of evil on earth. The Bible says, “And I beheld another beast coming out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon” (Revelation 13:11). This second religious type beast may appear to be very righteous upon his first appearance, desiring the best for everyone.

We then quickly realize that he has great power to perform his own will and not that of the people’s. The Bible says, “And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwells therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in sight of all men” (Revelation 13:12-13).

No matter what a person thinks or doesn’t think a true miracle like being raised from the dead or making fire fall from the sky or to cause an image to speak and have the ability and the power to put you to death will have a profound effect upon the entire population (See Revelation 13:14).

No matter what they claim their religion or non-religion to be. It will bring tears to the weak minded and shock to the strong. It will humble the proud and cast the religious into a bed of greater confusion causing them to question their most sacred teachings. It will confound the wise and cause the scientist to re-examine his position on what’s possible. No matter how each considers these miracles they will all eventually give their allegiance to the beast. It will unite the entire world to follow the beast causing them to chant, “Who can stand against the beast.” Not only will they worship the beast but the one who has given the beast his power – the power of darkness, the devil himself.

That is everyone except those who have had their names written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. This will separate the wheat from the tares. It will separate the true believers in Christ from those who have simply followed the religion of their choice. For the first time in history everyone will be exposed. Their hearts will be an open book for all to see.

There will be no more hiding behind a veil of deception, because everyone will know your heart. Everyone will be known by their exposed fruit. I am afraid this will be a great embarrassment to those who claim to be spiritual giants preaching and teaching with great authority. Let me encourage everyone who calls upon the Name of Christ to purify their hearts to humble themselves beneath the mighty hand of God. For the time is short. Things may change in the blink of an eye. Are you prepared?
