Home Covid Test Can Be Hazardous

Despite his statement that there is no federal solution to COVID, Biden announced last week that taxpayers were purchasing 500 million at-home COVID test kits at a cost of some $3 billion.

Users should know that these test kits have been given emergency use only authorization so the manufacturer is not responsible for any “accident” that may happen causing serious injury or death.

You read that correctly – serious injury or death.  The FDA fact sheet admits that the solution contained in the tube actually contains a hazardous ingredient – sodium azide.

According to the CDC Sodium Azide is a rapidly acting, potentially deadly chemical that exists as an odorless white solid.  When mixed with water or an acid, it changes rapidly to a toxic gas.  And please never pour it down the drain because when it comes in contact with solid metals like lead or copper, it turns into another deadly gas called hydrazoic acid, a colorless, volatile, and explosive liquid at room temperature.

Breathing the gas from sodium azide causes the most harm, but ingesting it can be toxic as well according to a 1990 government study titled Death Following Accidental Sodium Azide Ingestion. Sodium azide prevents the cells of the body from using oxygen causing them to die which makes it most harmful to the heart and brain, possibly causing permanent damage.

Brian Shilhavy, the Managing Editor and Founder of Health Impact News warns that in addition to the health issues, if used incorrectly, you need to scan a QR code that is then sent to a telehealth proctor, making your private health information part of their database.   And, if you test positive, it’s likely “that the government trusts will report and “you may be placed in isolation to avoid spreading the virus to others.”

The FDA fact sheet claims that the tests are anywhere from 73 – 98 percent accurate although they do admit that they used a “relatively small sample size” to come up with that number.  They also admit that the test “does not differentiate between SARS viruses, meaning that the common cold can be flagged as positive.  In addition, they state that the “performance of the test was studied in patients without signs or symptoms of respiratory infection” so test performance in someone with these problems may differ.  Basically, the FDA statements invalidate any claim of accuracy.

And if you trust your government and decide to take the test, don’t get too excited if you get a negative result because the FDA warns that you may require additional testing to be certain you are truly negative.

Dr. John Sellilck, an infectious disease expert and professor of medicine at the University of Buffalo/SUNY, warns that if you are just testing to see if you have the virus before doing something like going to a wedding or visiting an elderly relative, there’s a higher chance you’ll get a false reading. No COVID-19 test is 100% accurate but you are more likely to get a false positive when you don’t have symptoms.

Dr. Sellilck is right about the inaccuracy of COVID tests. Dr. Kary Mullis, Nobel Laureate and inventor of the PCR process said several years ago that “the PCR is a process. It does not tell you that you are sick.” It was never meant to be a Covid test.

Beginning January 1, 2022, the CDC will end the emergency use of PCR tests for COVID, after finally admitting that it does not differentiate between SARS-CoV2 infection and influenza viruses.
