Self-Spreading Vaccines

What if vaccines were designed to spread from one person to another, just like viruses themselves?   Only around 5% of the population would need to get a jab and the rest of us could catch the vaccine as it spreads rapidly throughout the country in airborne droplets just like we catch colds or the flu.

A dozen research institutions in the US, Europe and Australia are already investigating just such a scenario.  Right now, the majority of research is on animal to animal contact or animal to human spread. Scientists have already proved this approach can work.  In 2000 researchers in Spain tackled a deadly virus among rabbits by injecting only 70 with a transmissible vaccine and turning them out into the wild thereby halting the deadly outbreak.

Similar techniques are also being tested on pigs in Europe to prevent the spread of African swine fever.  One of the most advanced projects funded by the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is looking at ways to “protect” military serving in West Africa against Lassa fever which kills one in 10 that catch it.

In order for this technology to work on human to human spread, scientists have several options.  One is to engineer a very mild form of a virus that is contagious enough to infect large populations rapidly but still weak enough not to kill those populations.  The other option would be to package some of the DNA from a dangerous new pathogen inside a “relatively harmless but highly contagious virus” such as the common cold.  Exposure to the fragments of DNA inside the harmless virus supposedly would prime the immune system to be on the lookout for the real culprit without causing serious illness or death.

I don’t know about you but neither option appeals to me.

In a 2019 paper prepared for the UK Department of Health and Social Care, researchers mapped out a hypothetical case to show how releasing a self-spreading vaccine into the UK university population could reduce illness.  They used hypothetical university students because “since they don’t work it wouldn’t cause much economic disruption.”  The paper calculated that in order to protect 67 million Brits only 2.3 students would need to be infected because they would spread the infection by social means and family gatherings.  As far as deaths, the paper estimated that only 0.4% or 4 in every 1,000 would die.  All of this, according to the paper, would “ease the burden of producing vast quantities of flu vaccine every year.”   Burden, seriously?

In the US this research is being funded by the US National Institutes of Health which surprise, has long standing financial ties to the Gates Foundation. Everyone knows how much Bill loves to talk about vaccines and depopulation.

The drive to develop self-spreading vaccines is not without controversy.  First and foremost is the idea of spreading infections to people without their consent.  Not that it matters much to the government or the woke scientific community but, it does matter to those with weakened immune systems, or the disabled or elderly or to people who believe that in a free society we have the right to pick and choose what health services (?)we avail ourselves of.

Who is to prevent the military or our own government from turning this technology into a bioweapon and using it against us?  What is to prevent a weakened virus from mutating into a more potent form once they are free to spread in the population?

Modified genes from GM crop trials have transferred into local wild plants, creating a form of herbicide-resistant superweed that is immune to herbicides.  And even though scientists claim this is rare, let’s face it.  You only need it to happen once to cause serious problems.

A self-spreading vaccine isn’t going to stop and ask for your medical history before infecting you.  And don’t forget the warning from The National Vaccine Information Center: “vaccination is a medical procedure which carries a risk of injury or death.”

Do you honestly trust elected officials and bureaucrats to make wise health decisions for you?  If you do, you’ve been asleep for the last two years.
