It is a simple moral question: Do you support the murder of children by abortion? If you say yes, then anything goes; for if it is okay to kill a baby in the womb, it is okay to do anything. You cannot say something is wrong, if child-murder is right.
How imbecilic must one be, I wonder, not to know when life begins? Even if one had slept through every high school biology class, somewhere along the line, surely, the facts of life would have intruded themselves. After all, human reproduction is not like astrophysics, the details of which only members of Mensa may understand.
So, leaving aside the invincibly ignorant, the only plausible explanation for refusing to recognize the humanity of the unborn child is sheer obduracy or, to give it a less technical term, hardness of heart, of which we’ve certainly seen countless examples of since abortion became the law of the land.
We are already seeing the horrifying truth about the political Left in America: They are out for blood. “This will be a Summer of Rage across America,” the Women’s March vowed. “We will be ungovernable,” the radicals threatened, until the violence they bring to our cities can be replicated in every mother’s womb.
Senate Majority leader, Chuck Schumer, threatened conservative Supreme Court justices with violent rhetoric at a pro-abortion rally: “I want to tell you Gorsuch, I want to tell you Kavanaugh, you have unleashed the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”
Pregnancy medical clinics, pro-life organizations, and churches have been firebombed and vandalized. A crazed pro-abortion activist with a loaded gun was just arrested for seeking to kill Justice Brett Kavanaugh for siding with the majority in the leaked draft Dobbs opinion that overturns Roe. An unclassified memo from the Department of Homeland Security is warning of the potential for even more violence after the Supreme Court hands down its decision.
We must protect the life of the innocent, from the moment of conception – it is as simple as that. The life of an unborn child is not worth less than a child that has been born. Murder is murder regardless of the age or level of development of the victim. All life is precious because each human being is made in God’s image (Genesis 1:27) and skillfully wrought together by Him (Psalm 139:13–16). “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you…” (Jeremiah 1:5).
