Profits and Power Dictate WHO’s Agenda

Global Health is confusing. A few short years ago community participation, disease burden, resource allocation and human rights dominated its decision-making processes.

Causes such as improving childhood nutrition, empowering minorities and protecting girls from enslavement and mutilation were acceptable battles to fight.  This is no longer true. Today coercion, censorship, and propaganda rule health care.

Ever since it was founded in 1948, the World Health Organization has been infiltrated by big business from tobacco to the nuclear industry to pharmaceuticals.  Profits and power dictate their global agenda, not public health.

WHO is plagued by persistent wasteful spending, utter disregard for transparency, pervasive incompetence, and failure to adhere to even basic democratic standards.  The election of Ethiopian politician Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus as head of the organization more than proves that nothing will change.

Dr. Tedros, as he likes to be called, has a Ph.D. in community health, and is a leader of Ethiopia’s brutal minority party, the Tigray People’s Liberation Front, listed in the U.S. data base of terrorist organizations, a wing of the ruling Marxist rooted Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front.  Tedros was elected in 2017 with 133 of 185 votes in a 3rd round secret ballot defeating an eminently qualified British candidate, David Nabbaro, M.D.

The darling of Big Tech, Dr. Tedros was accused by his opposition of being an international criminal even before his appointment to WHO Director General.  He was charged with participating in decisions that claimed the lives of many innocent Ethiopians including the 2005 massacre of hundreds of peaceful demonstrators, and more specifically, the systematic ethnic cleansing and genocide against Amharas.

If WHO’s proposed pandemic treaty wasn’t bad enough, in October of 2022, they announced a new initiative called the One Health Joint Plan of Action, launched in partnership with The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), The United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH), to expand their power, not only over health threats but over animals, plants and the environment.  It is, according to Dr. Tedros, “necessary to save the world.”

Giving WHO and its left-wing cronies more global control is a really bad idea.  If history is any indication, WHO’s assembly of global superpowers striving to control everything from health to the environment is not going to end well.

During the pandemic, WHO tossed aside any pretense of protecting human health.  According to an investigation report published in The Sunday Times, China secured WHO votes to install its chosen candidate (Dr. Tedros) as director general and then exerted control over the WHO investigation into the origins of Covid and compromised their ability to respond to the crisis.

The World Health Organization is not just resigned to the abandonment of basic public health principles and ethics, but actively working to undermine them.  Mass panic over the pandemic didn’t happen by itself.  It required massive amounts of censorship, propaganda, fear-mongering, and misinformation pumped out by governments, by the media, and by the tech giants over the last three years.  And it worked – there is no doubt about that.

But it was our own lack of critical thinking that allowed the last three years to happen.  We do not doubt. We do not question. We do not employ and trust our own judgment. We do not make the effort to verify what we’re told, to seek out information by ourselves, for the information is there if we really look for it. This is the reason we have ended up where we are.

We may eventually get out of the Covid panic. But as long as the soil is fertile; as long as we do not question, do not doubt, but blindly believe and obey, the sword of mass panic, and all the damage done by it, will continue to hang over our heads. We have to rid ourselves of this threat. And we need to rid ourselves of the World Health Organization.

The pandemic represents a rare but narrow window of opportunity to reflect reimagine, and reset the world.  Klaus Schwab
