“Tom has a long record of promoting progressive ideas and making real change, and we are excited to bring his experience and integrity to American Progress,” CAP President Neera Tanden said in a statement.
In the same statement, Perriello added: “This is a critical moment for our country to return to values of basic fairness and opportunity that are bigger than any election cycle.”
On the Hill, Perriello served on the Transportation and Infrastructure and Veterans’ Affairs panels. As a former Member of Congress, Perriello was ban for one year on lobbying Congress. That ban expired Jan. 3.”
Center for American Progress (CAP) is a liberal think tank in D.C. and receives a lot of it’s funding from the like of George Soros. CAP also was part of the transition team for Obama.
