Most Ridiculous Research on Animals for 2011
While we wonder how to pay our mortgages, buy food, clothing, and gasoline; and wonder if we will even have a job tomorrow; you’ll be pleased to know that your hard earned dollars have been used by the Albany Medical College, and others, to determine what type of music RATS like while hopped up on cocaine.
I mean, I’ve always wanted to know this important piece of information. Haven’t you?
Believe it or not, the research found that sober rats don’t really like music that much.
After silence, the rats liked Beethoven’s “Fur Elise” more than Miles Davis’s iconic jazz tune “Four.” However, when the rats were given doses of cocaine, their tasted shifted and they gravitated toward the jazz.
Another extremely important research by Lehigh and University of Minnesota researchers, found that putting hamsters on a diet didn’t increase their appetite for the opposite sex.
I’ve often stayed awake at night, as I’m sure you have, wondering about the sex life of hampsters.
You may like to read the following studies, however I think the titles are self explanatory.
Billions of tax dollars are wasted each year on these types of research, where common sense should prevail.
