Deen is not the Enemy Y’all

After Paula Deen in May admitted she had used the N-word in the past, Twelve companies have cut ties with or distanced themselves from her; which include: the Food Network, Target, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Smithfield, Sears, QVC, J.C. Penney, Walgreens etc..

Personally I have a big problem with all these companies, not Paula Deen. I think they’re all hypocrites. If you were to dig into the past of all involved in belittling and degrading Deen, you’d find 99.99999% of them have used the N-word or another word just as degrading and insulting that would or could offend someone.

So why single out Deen? Could it be because she’s a woman, white, a celebrity, rich, or could it be she was chosen to be made an example of for the government’s assault on Freedom of Speech?

Regardless the reasoning behind it, these companies remind me of vultures that swoop in for the kill. As the old saying goes, “Kick the dog while it’s down”.

Would anyone want this happening to them? And why would anyone, company or otherwise want to participate in such smear tactics as these against another human being? Does one really think this makes them look more politically correct or righteous?

Myself, I’d rather remember the teaching of Jesus, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” John 8:7

I quote this because everyone on earth is a sinner, meaning they have sinned in one form or another. But what Deen said isn’t even a sin, yet the media and these companies are intent on stoning her.

Is Paula Deen a racist? Who knows. If you don’t like her or her products you don’t have to buy them. But there is one thing I can say about her; she’s not a liar because she admitted using the N-word. However, we do know the Obama administration is racist and full of liars.

Whereas Deen is in no position to intrude on my freedoms and livelihood, the Obama administration is and has done so. So who should really be on trial here?

Instead of trying to crucify Deen, why not go after the ones who are the real danger?
