Buying The Virginia Governor’s Mansion

001NY Mayor Bloomberg, who deceptively bills himself as an independent, has spent more than $15  million on various gun control initiatives.  He just spent $1 million helping  elect Newark Mayor Cory Booker to a U.S. Senate seat in last Wednesday’s New  Jersey special election to replace the late Frank Lautenberg, long a champion of  gun control measures.  Now he’s hoping to take Virginia to the dark side with  $1.1 million to be spent on ads for  Democrat Terry McAuliffe in the final two weeks of the Virginia governor’s race.

For his part, McAuliffe is unapologetic about his support for stricter gun laws, including  an assault weapons ban, universal background checks, limiting the size of  magazines and preventing people from buying more than one gun a month. He would  unquestionably be a close Bloomberg ally  in the socialist agenda to  make Virginia an anti-gun state.

McAuliffe is also unapologetic about his support for abortion on demand, at any time, under any circumstances, for any reason, paid for with Virginia tax money.   That means he supports a platform of sex-selection abortion, late-term abortion, partial-birth abortion, and abortions for teenage girls without parental consent.  Guess that helps explain why Planned Parenthood Votes has spent more than $1 million on television and radio ads telling women that they should not trust Ken Cuccinelli, aided by NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia which has spent six figures in helping to wage the most negative campaign in recent memory.

McAuliffe  has received more than  $2.5 million from organized labor groups, according to state campaign filings, more than three times as much money as he received  from unions during his 2009 attempt at Virginia’s governorship.  While McAuliffe remains ‘mum’ on whether he would work to repeal Virginia’s right-to-work law, which allows employees to opt out of unions,  it is safe to say that the unions aren’t donating because they like his smile.   McAuliffe   also “declined comment” on whether he supports project labor agreements (PLAs), which favor unions in government contracts.

His liberal supporters like billionaire environmentalist Tom Steyer, Planned Parenthood,  NARAL Pro-Choice, unions, the National Education Association and now Mayor Bloomberg aren’t  pumping millions into this race for a few laughs -they’re doing  so because they expect a return on their investment.

Using Obama’s scorched earth campaign tactics:  “If you don’t have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from”, McAuliffe and his band of billionaire socialist are hoping Virginians are as stupid as the politically elite perceive Southerns to be.

It is safe to say that if McAullife wins and Democrats take control of the General Assembly,   he would expand Medicaid through ObamaCare which means a massive tax increase, push for common core, invest in expensive green technology which means a massive increase in our energy bills, expand gay rights as well as roll back all restrictions on abortions and abortion clinics and  gleefully sign restrictive gun rights legislation.
