Obama’s love for the Muslim Brotherhood was brought to light when he aided and abetted the takeover of Egypt during the so-called Arab Spring. As soon as the Brotherhood took control with the election of Morsi, Obama gave them money, and $1 billion worth of German made submarines. But what wasn’t known until Morsi was deposed and arrested by the Egyptian military was that Obama had given Morsi [personally] $8 billion to guarantee that a large portion of the Sinai Peninsula would be turned over to HAMAS.
With this in mind, it should come as no surprise that the Muslim Brotherhood has been feeding at the taxpayer trough since Obama took office. It was recently discovered that a Kansas City mosque linked to terrorists had received nearly $3 million in federal grants; money that was laundered through the Department of Agriculture in the form of food stamps and other benefits. As a matter of fact, the Department of Agriculture has long been used as a front for funding Islamic organizations in the U.S, funding used to indirectly support terrorism in the United States.
The Kansas City mosque is owned by none other than the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), a financial holding company and Muslim Brotherhood offshoot. Funded by Saudi Arabia, Iran and other Middle Eastern countries, NAIT’s goal is to spread Wahhabism, an Islamic sect demanding rule by Sharia Law. They hold titles to well over 300 mosques in the U.S. along with Islamic schools and valuable real estate to shield and fund Muslim assets in the U.S and import imams to preach jihad and radicalize people under the cover of religious freedom.
NAIT was first identified as a Muslim Brotherhood front by the FBI in the 1980s. A recently declassified FBI memo from that era stated that NAIT’s “support of jihad in the U.S. was evidenced by the financial and organizational support provided by Middle East countries and Muslims in the US and Canada; support which included planning, organizing and funding anti-U.S. and anti-Israel demonstrations, pro- Palestinian demonstrations, and the distribution of political propaganda against U.S. polies in the Middle East.
Another FBI memo indicated that “within the organizational structure of NAIT, numerous groups and individuals were identified as being a part of a covert network of revolutionaries who have clearly indicated support for the Islamic Revolution as advocated by the Ayatollah Khomeini and his government, as well as other fanatical Islamic Shiite fundamentalist leaders in the Middle East,” factions which have declared war on the U.S., Israel and any other country they deem as enemies of Islam.
Another memo identified NAIT as one of many “Ikhwan organizations”—i.e., Muslim Brotherhood fronts—that “are involved in organizing political support” for a long-term plan seeking “to institute the Islamic Revolution in the United States” and “establish political control of all non-Islamic governments in the world.”
According to Frank Gaffney, head of the Center for Security Policy, Obama’s policy of backing the Muslim Brotherhood is outlined in a secret directive called Presidential Study Directive-11, or PSD-11, produced in 2011 which, according to officials familiar with the study, outlines Obama’s support for political reform in the Middle East and North Africa. Unfortunately, efforts to force the administration to release the directive or portions of it under the Freedom of Information Act have been unsuccessful.
Gaffney says “ America faces, in addition to the threat of violent jihad another, even more toxic danger, a stealthy and pre-violent form of warfare aimed at destroying our constitutional form of democratic government and free society from within.
Steven Schwartz, a journalist and author of The Two Faces of Islam testified before the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Terrorism, Technology and Homeland Security in 2003 about Wahhabism which he described as the most extreme, separatist and violent form of Islam and how they had come to dominate Islam in the United States.
He told the Senate Subcommittee that historically, traditional Islamic scholars had been a buffer against extremism but America’s lack of such scholars allowed the Wahhabi ideological structure from the Muslim Brotherhood to fill a gap, to gain dominance over Islamic communities in the West.
The goals of this operation, according to Schwartz, were: 1) To control a significant group of Muslim believers; 2) To use the Muslim community to pressure the government and media in the formulation of policy and perceptions about Islam through infiltration of the highest levels of government and; 3) To advance the overall Wahhabi agenda of jihad against the world. This effort included the establishment of a base for funding, recruitment, and strategic/tactical support of terror operations in the U.S. and abroad. HR 3892, the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act of 2015 is currently in the Judicary Committee’s subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security. S 2230, the Senate version, introduced by Senator Ted Cruz, languishes in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Senators Rand Paul and Marco Rubio are members of this committee. If passed the bills would designate three U.S. based Brotherhood front groups – NAIT, the Islamic Society of North America and CAIR, as terrorist organizations.
There is little doubt, even with support from Democrats, that Obama would veto any bill that hits his desk designating his beloved organization as terrorists. But that does not mean that we should not contact our representatives and demand the bills be passed and that the government cease and desist taxpayer funding of terrorist organizations in the U.S.
