Never Underestimate Your Enemies

There are several factors to indicate that we are entering a period of political upheaval which is certain to create far more disruption, on a wider scale, than any before.  One is the instability of the global economic order that is throwing nations in stagnation, recession, forced austerity and volatility.  Another is the generation of young activists ignorant of history and bound together through the internet and social media, susceptible to intoxication by the spirit of revolution.

History is littered with examples of such people, rising up and defying the real or imagined injustices of the existing order, people seeking to destroy the status quo.  But in case after case, the swell of jubilation and hope soon gives way to despair when they realize the utopian society they desire is not an improvement.  As G.K. Chesterton said, “the reformer is always right about what is wrong but he is also wrong about what is right.”  Mob rage is often fertile soil for evil to nurture division, toxic emotion and nation shattering rage.

Mobs and mass movements can destroy.  Few prove capable of successfully building.  Just look at the Arab Spring in Tunisia in 2011.  Another example would be the Russian revolution in 1917 when Lenin’s supporters forcibly “reorganized” the Russian empire into the world’s first socialist state by unleashing a civil war that slaughtered 10 million people.  Once the Bolsheviks won, consolidated their power and established a Soviet state, another 50 million were slaughtered.  All told the Bolsheviks murdered as many as were killed in WWII.

Here at home we are witnessing the beginning of a possible movement that is actively working to abolish the U.S. Constitution; working to establish a Communist system of government, which became ever more apparent during the Democrat presidential campaigns.  And even though the majority of the candidates have abandoned their campaign, Bernie Sanders is still in the running.

According to the Washington Examiner, Sanders, while denying any association with the Communist Socialist Workers Party, his ties are “deep and enduring.”   During his time as mayor of Burlington, Sanders not only supported but campaigned for the Socialist Workers Party.   The SWP, founded in 1938 by devotees of Russian communist revolutionary Leon Trotsky, promote an ideology of international revolution with the aim of “the abolition of capitalism through the establishment of a Workers and Farmers Republic” and the elimination of most private property.

Sanders supporters and campaign workers, according to video recordings by Project Veritas, are enamored with the Bolshevik Revolution.  Mason Baird claimed Bolshevik Revolution wasn’t all that bad.  What this country needs, he claims, is “a strong federal government and militant labor union to destroy capitalism, to destroy private property.”  He feels that  while this militant revolution is not preferable, “it may be necessary.”   He also said that after they abolish “landlords – we don’t have to kill them, that’s my feeling,” but “there were plenty of excesses in 1917…”  And despite being exposed in a video, Baird remains a full-time paid employee of the Sander’s campaign.  Even more shocking – Baird was actually one of the more moderate people revealed by Project Veritas investigators.

Another field organizer in South Carolina, Daniel Taylor, told Project Veritas reporters that plans are underway for extreme action.  “We don’t want to scare people off. You first have to feel it out before you get into the crazy stuff,” he said. “You know, we were talking about more extreme organizations like Antifa, you were talking about, Yellow Vests [French protesters], all that, but we’re kind of keeping that on the back burner for now. …It’s unfortunate that we have to make plans for extreme action, but like I said, they’re not going to give it to us, even if Bernie is elected.”

Iowa field organizer for the Sanders Campaign, Kyle Jurek, told Project Veritas reporters that if Donald Trump is reelected, cities will “burn.”  Referring to Trump supports, Jurek said that “The only thing that fascists understand is violence.  So the only way you can confront them is with violence.”  He also said that Trump supporters should be “reeducated”  in prison camps.  “There’s a reason Joseph Stalin had gulags, right? Actually, gulags …were actually meant for, like, reeducation. Greatest way to breaking a … billionaire of their, like, privilege, and the idea that they’re superior: Go out and break rocks for 12 hours a day. You’re now a working-class person and you’re going to … learn what that means, right?”

Sander’s campaign field organizer Martin Weissgerber said that if Sanders loses the 2020 election, he’ll ”straight up get armed.  I want to learn how to shoot and go train.  I’m ready for the …revolution, bro…I’m telling you.  Guillotine the rich.”

Never underestimate your enemy!  Elections have consequences.   Sander’s version of democratic socialism is the same as Marxism – the complete destruction of capitalism and the overthrow of our Constitutional government, by force if necessary.

This world desperately needs a government established by the only source of genuine solutions.  Come Lord Come!
