The Downside of “Normal”

I have given up on normal as a life goal, having realized that normal is just a setting on one’s dryer.  Patsy Clairmont, I Grew Up Little: Finding Hope in a Big God

Now that the Covid lockdown is over, everyone is keen to get back to normal, the old routines the familiar lifestyles and the comfortable liberties.  That’s not going to happen.  The world has changed and it’s not for the better.

Covid gave us an unjust system that now exacerbates inequality, rewards conformity, and ensures division.  The “normal” it pushes is a cancer spreading through the fabric of our nation and our hearts.  One day our children and grandchildren will stand in judgment over us, that is if we manage to survive the world we have created.

As for Covid, it continues unabated and unrestrained by the experimental jab we were told would kill it.  Those who benefited financially will retain their wealth while victims are ignored. There will be no trials for the leaders of the lockdown policies. Everyone will plead ignorance; the corruption will be celebrated rather than punished. Unfortunately, that is how world works.

Millions lost employment due to their views on the experimental jab.  The institutions that were supposed to protect them cast them aside.  The silence from the teacher’s unions, the nursing unions, and the health-care sector unions and medical associations were deafening.

The lockdown resulted in much closer ties between church and state that will have unforeseen consequences.  In Australia and in America the churches laughed all the way to the bank in Covid hysteria.  Many received millions in subsidies, payouts, etc. to smooth over the closure of churches and to guarantee their silence.

For the wealthiest of the ruling elite Covid was a good thing.  They saw the suspension of human rights and democratic freedoms as necessary for the national good.  Covid became a loyalty test for citizens and a litmus test for the future, mainly for the middle class who are usually forgotten.  Few people protested the end of democracy and this is how democracy dies.

The new normal implies the subordination of the population ready for the next crisis.  The emergency laws were the instruments of tyrants and tyranny.  They are the emblems of neo-fascism, which is really what we are facing today, the economic takeover of the state and the end of the old system of representative democracy.

Some call it corporatism, others fascism or maybe it is a revival of undiluted unrestrained capitalism.  We all know what it looks like, but we don’t agree on how to describe it.  Politicians do represent someone, but that tends to be the powerful, the wealthy, while the peasants are left to fend for themselves.

What stands out is that so many people now embrace fascism.  This is the new fabric of society and it is in the hearts, the souls, and the minds of individuals who gave up truth and morality for lies and personal failure.

I might say God help us but why would he bother?  Humans have always rebelled against the Word of God and we never learn.

We live in an insane world with insane values, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that the herd is now also insane.
