House Bill 2340 -– Delegate Bob Marshall’s bill to prohibit Virginia agencies from enforcing unconstitutional gun laws -– has been sidetracked by the House leadership to the House Appropriations Committee.

The ostensible rationale of anti-gun House leaders was to study whether Virginia would lose federal money if it refused to enforce unconstitutional laws.(!)  But no one hocking this crazy theory could come up with any examples to support it.

So here’s the situation:  If Marshall’s bill is signed into law, Virginia officials would be barred from helping the feds violate the Second Amendment.

But it can pass only if it’s forced out of the House Appropriations Committee.

ACTION:  Contact the members of the state House of Delegates Appropriations Committee.  Demand that they report House Bill 2340 to the full chamber for a vote and final passage.

Please see the contact information for the members of the Committee below the pre-written letter.

Dear Delegate:

House Bill 2340 -– Delegate Bob Marshall’s bill to prohibit Virginia agencies from enforcing unconstitutional gun laws -– has been sidetracked to the House Appropriations Committee.

But it can pass only if your committee votes it out.

I agree with Gun Owners of America that this is an important Second Amendment-related vote.  So I am asking you to please report House Bill 2340 to the full chamber for a vote and final passage.

Sincerely,
