Rahm Emanul has joined the chorus of the far left bigots who don’t mind Christians as long as they stay in their place.
Chick-Fil-A, with only one location in Chicago, has been blocked from opening any more. According to Emanuel, “Chick-Fil-A’s values are not Chicago values. They’re not respectful of our residents, our neighborhoods and our family members. And, if you’re going to be part of the Chicago community, you should reflect Chicago values. . .We want responsible businesses.”
Now, to Emanual and the other far left loonies, responsible means embracing a non-Christian attitude and accepting, with a smile, homosexual marriage. To the rest of the sane world a responsible businesses is one that doesn’t discriminate, pays their taxes, and gives back to the community. Chick-Fil-A is such a responsible businesses. They don’t ask you if you’re gay when you place an order, or if you are a Christian, or if you are living in sin, nor do they try to convert their customers. But as a Christian businesses they hold to Christian values and Christian values do not include gay marriage.
The Archdiocese of Chicago serves more than 2.3 million, or 39% of the population in Cook and Lake counties. Chicago lies primarly in Cook County with a portion of O’Hare Airport being in DuPage County. The Catholic population consists primarly of Irish, Italians, Polish, and Hispanic. It was the Irish settlers who laid the foundation for many of Chicago’s Catholic Churchs. But Chicago is also home to a large Assyrian population and the largest Luthern body in the U.S. They also are home to a large Jewish population that settled there from pretty much every country in Europe and the Middle East but especially from Germany and Eastern Europe. Do these citizens no longer have a voice in what constitutes Chicago values?
Rahm wants responsible businesses that aren’t Christian or at least are silent Christians but he is willing to open his arms to an Anti-Semitc, Louis Farrakan, who hates Jews and Whites. Farrakan has provided a Jewish mayor with an army “the Fruit of Islam” to stop the violence in Chicago’s neighborhoods. According to Rahm, “People of faith have a role to play. . .in helping protect our neighborhoods and citizens. . .”
I guess from this we must conclude that Islam is the only faith that Rahm, like his mentor Obama, respects!
